Creative Writing, Visual Reading Workshop

• Creative writing workshops are an application carried out to support the writing skills of children aged 7-12.
• It is done within the framework of the Turkish course curriculum on the basis of each class.
• The studies carried out support the school curriculum.
• Within the framework of the framework plan made at the beginning of the year, creative writing topics are prepared by focusing on certain days and weeks.
• At the end of the semester, the studies are presented in the form of portfolio presentation.
• The worksheets required for the creative writing workshop are prepared by Turkish teachers.
• Training on creative writing and visual reading is given to teachers who will participate in creative writing and visual reading workshops at the beginning of the year.
• This workshop is integrated with the Turkish course curriculum.

Visual Reading

• Visual reading exercises are a part of comprehension education.
• It is applied at every grade level starting from the 1st grade.
• It is done within the framework of the Turkish course curriculum.
• It is given alternately within the scope of the same course as the creative writing course.
• In a month, 2 weeks of creative writing and 2 weeks of visual reading are done.
• Visual reading activities are prepared by experts in this field.

• Idiom, proverb interpretation exercises
• Stories, poems and original text writing studies
• Studies on transferring what they think to unlined paper
• Exercises in reading comprehension, interpretation, self-expression through written language
• Work is carried out to complete the paragraph, find the main idea, complete the missing text or paragraph, and strengthen the verbal expression and written language of the structures. With these studies, students gain self-confidence and become happier in life by strengthening their written language.
